Visit Krujë, a medieval hilltop town. Explore the old bazaar and Krujë Castle with stunning views over the Albanian countryside. After lunch, travel to Tirana, Albania's bustling capital. Relax in the artists' district of Blloku. Overnight in Tirana.

Explore Tirana's important historical and cultural monuments, including Et'hem Bej Mosque, the Clock Tower, Justinian Castle and the National History Museum. Visit the top of Mount Dajti for breathtaking views. The afternoon is free to spend. Overnight in Tirana.

Travel to Berat, also known as the "City of a Thousand Windows". Explore the Mangalemi district with its Ottoman influences and enjoy the traditional evening walk "Xhiro". Overnight in Berat.

Visit Berat's citadel and over 2,400-year-old castle. Discover churches that survived the era of communism and visit the Onufri Museum. The day ends with a visit to a traditional wine estate.

Travel along the former Roman lord's road to Byzantium, via Elbasan and Librazhd, to Lake Ohrid and the town of Pogradec. Enjoy a seafood meal and visit the ancient town of Korçë. Visit the Museum of Medieval Art and the brewery of Korça beer.

Excursion to the ancient monasteries of Voskopojë, followed by lunch at a traditional restaurant. Return to Korçë for a visit to the first Albanian school, the old bazaar and Mirahori Mosque.

Travel along the Vjosa River to Permet, a town with a typical Albanian atmosphere. Enjoy the culinary experience at local restaurants and taste the pastries from the bakery opposite Restaurant Hani Kikes.

Drive through the Kelcyra Gorge to Gjirokastër. Explore the narrow alleys of the old town and enjoy local cuisine. Visit the castle and museums.

Explore the city and its imposing castle. Visit the Folk Museum, the National Weapons Museum and the birthplaces of Enver Hoxha and Ismael Kadare.

Travel to Sarandë, stopping at the 'Blue Eye' and Mesopotami Church. Visit the ancient synagogue in Sarandë and the archaeological site of Butrint. Overnight in Sarandë.

Travel along the coast to Vlorë, with stops at beaches such as Borsh, Qeparo, Himarë, Dhërmi and Llogara. Explore Vlorë on foot, visiting the Muradie Mosque, Vlorë Castle and Independence Square. Visit Riadh Beach and Plazhi i Vjeter beaches and the Karaburun Peninsula.

Visit the Apollonia Archaeological Park and museum in a 14th-century monastery. Explore the Roman and Byzantine ruins in Durres, including the amphitheatre and thermal baths.
